Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) is a technology that involves using a large-scale array of parabolic reflectors or dishes or mirrors to collect solar thermal energy, generating steam with heat exchangers, and producing electrical power with traditional turbine electrical power generators.
Currently, CSP technology exists in four common forms, namely Solar Power Tower, Parabolic Trough, Dish Stirlings, and Concentrating Linear Fresnel Reflector, among which, Solar Power Tower and Parabolic Trough are the two main approaches of a large-scale application of CSP system.
